Each year since 2015, the Tunnel to Towers Foundation hosts the Tunnel to Towers Tower Climb at One World Observatory in NYC. Participants climb 104 stories to honor the strength, hope, and resilience of the American spirit, paying tribute to 9/11 heroes like FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller and Captain Billy Burke. On 9/11, Stephen Siller, who was off-duty, heard about the attack and rushed to the World Trade Center, carrying 60 lbs. of gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to help. He gave his life saving others. Captain Billy Burke, on the 27th floor of the North Tower, led his men and civilians to safety after the South Tower collapsed, selflessly urging others to keep going. He perished when the North Tower fell. The climb ends with stunning views from One World Observatory, including the reflecting pools where the Twin Towers once stood.
Your support helps honor the bravery and sacrifice of these heroes, ensuring their legacy lives on and that future generations understand the true meaning of courage and selflessness. Please consider donating to continue this important mission :)
