I was diagnosed with moderately severe hearing loss in both ears when she was only three years old. Most insurance companies deem hearing aids not "medically necessary". Trust me when I say this... I ABSOLUTELY would not be where I am today if I didn't benefit from wearing hearing aids. From the first time I heard birds singing after getting my very first pair of hearing aids, to now, where I am on calls every single day in a customer facing role, hearing aids are truly a part of who I am. After moving to Southern California from Chicago, I learned about HearAid Foundation through a newsletter. Due to my own personal experience with hearing loss, I instantly knew that I wanted to be a part of this incredible organization. One of my greatest joys is seeing our recipients receive their hearing aids and hearing their equivalent of my first birdsong.
