I am on a journey to earn my "Beach Cities Challenge" medal. To do this, you have to consecutively run 3 Southern California Half Marathons (Long Beach, Huntington Beach and OC). The OC half will be my final event, and what better way to commemorate the milestone then to fundraise and help support a cause I am passionate about. I have decided to fundraise for Susan G. Komen!
Why Susan G. Komen? Breast cancer impacts countless lives, including the lives of some of my family members and close friends.
I believe there can be a world without breast cancer, and I believe what Susan G. Komen does towards that fight against cancer is like no other! Having worked for the organization years ago, it was a remarkable thing to see how funds were allocated and carefully granted. So much so that I became a lifelong supporter of them!
