This is our second year running the Sea Isle Stomps Cancer 5K in memory of our friend Michael Gavin. Michael brought people together with his loyalty, strength, and a sense of humor that could light up even the hardest days.
We named ourselves Big Mike’s Trenchmen because that’s where he made his mark—on the line, doing the work no one sees but everyone depends on. That’s how he lived his life too: showing up, lifting others up, and putting his whole heart into the people he cared about.
We are “stomping” to honor Michael’s life, to keep his spirit close, and to help raise money for cancer research so other families don’t have to face the same loss. Thank you for supporting us and helping keep Michael’s legacy alive in our hearts and at every finish line we cross for him.
For those able to attend the walk/run: there will be breakfast, beach time, bbq and more following the race! Head to Mike and Claire's on 44th street for some post-run fuel and a day of fun.
