My name is David Lyman. I am a retired Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Tech. I am fundraising for an organization that supports EOD Technicians across all the Branches of the military and their families. I will be running this race in the EOD 9 Bomb Suit, created by Med Eng. This suit is a 64lb ensemble that protects against blast, fragmentation and offers thermal protection. It is a staple of the EOD toolset. I am wearing it as a way to honor all the EOD Techs that have served, are serving and that will. I hope to bring awareness to a community that is selfless and support an organization that loves and tirelessly serves all Techs and their families.
EOD Warrior Foundation supports the EOD communities through financial assistance and additional services such as morale events, peer-to-peer support, educational programs, connections to resources, care of the EOD Memorial, and sustained contact with our EOD warriors and their families.
