I’m excited to share that I’ll be running the Cambridge Half Marathon as a Charity Runner on November 2. I’m running in support of Bridges Homeward, a Cambridge nonprofit that does incredible work for children, teens, and families. Their mission is to build safe, stable, and nurturing environments where every child has the chance to thrive.
Bridges Homeward supports youth in the foster care system, provides resources and funding during the adoption process, and offers mentorship so kids and teens can reach their full potential. Their Adoption program provides planning and case management services for children and teens in DCF custody, typically working with youth who face the greatest challenges to adoption: older children, sibling groups, and children with medical, developmental, emotional, or behavioral special needs. Bridges Homeward is the only private agency in Greater Boston that provides adoption case management services to children in foster care, and one of only four private agencies offering these services across the entire state. This will be my first ever half marathon, and I’m thrilled to run for Bridges Homeward. Every penny is deeply appreciated, THANK YOU!
