BURD BRAINS HIATUS ALERT!
I am very sad to report that I will not be able to attend or pull together a BURD Brains team for this year's BIAM Scarecrow Classic 5K and 1 Mile Walk, which takes place this weekend (10/8/17) at UMBC.
However, I would still like to support the good work of the Brain Injury Association of Maryland and their efforts to be the voice of all those affected by brain injury through advocacy, education, and research. I created this fundraising page and I hope my fellow BURD Brains will be inclined to do the same!
Please consider making a donation in any amount to support Team BURD Brains and this cause. About 1.7M people sustain new brain injuries each year -- many of those people, and their families, feel the effects long-term. My family is part of that statistic -- both my brother and my sister have sustained traumatic brain injury, and both need substantial care and services. BIAM has been a resource and an extended part of our family over the years. YOUR SUPPORT IS APPRECIATED AND MEANS THE WORLD!
With luck, Team BURD Brains will be back in full force for the October 2018 event!
Best,
Amy Burdette
