Amanda was an incredible member of the camp team. She was someone who immediately made an impact on me when I got to camp, when I was at camp, and during our virtual sessions last year. She made an impact on everyone she spoke to and everyone she was around. She was loving and kind. Losing her is truly a huge loss from the camp community.
Camp really mattered to Amanda, and it was apparent to me, the whole time I've known her how much she was ready to help anyone who needed it and put herself out there in the world to make an impact on kids, especially campers. She jumped right into that nature tent I worked in on the hottest days, with her rowdy group of little ones, with all the camp love I've ever seen from anyone and worked to make camp fun.
And that's why when this opportunity to share an NSR fundraiser for Amanda, a chance to give in Amanda's name came up, I took it. I watched her champion the fight for a great camp experience for everyone back in the summer of 2019 when we met, then again, digitally, at Camp at Home in 2020.
Amanda worked and loved so tirelessly for her camp and campily. That's a legacy I hope her family is so proud of, and that her camp friends are ready to pitch in and carry on.
