Hi! My name is Celia, and I'm proud to serve as the Executive Director of the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts, where I am honored to be the youngest recorded state leader of an LWV State Chapter, and the first Gen Z leader. While a huge personal milestone, it isn't one that was possible without the League of Women Voters personally investing in me as a college student -- offering me the internship that gave me the drive to become a civic advocate.
The League of Women Voters of Massachusetts serves 44 local Leagues in 155 communities -- 51% of all voters in Massachusetts! Every day, we ask voters to engage in a first -- their first time registering to vote, first time voting, first time calling their legislator, and, potentially, their first time finding their voice and using it to not only empower themselves, but the next generation of civic leaders. In our 106 years of history, we have so many firsts to be proud of -- which is why I'm proud to dedicate my first road race to the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts.
With your help, I am seeking to raise $2,000.00 to support the League of Women Voters of Massachusetts' critical work for the 2026 midterm elections. At a time in our democracy where political parties and candidates are contributing to rising tensions in our nation, I am proud to be supporting the League's nonpartisan election work -- because I know when I need election information, I can trust the League's thorough, impartial, and accessible information.
I hope you'll join me in supporting one of the nation's first voter engagement organizations -- and that together, we can remind people that Democracy is Not A Spectator Sport!
