As of January 14, 2024, only 5.41% of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) identify as Black. This stark underrepresentation highlights the critical need for more inclusive voices in our field, especially as we serve clients from richly diverse cultural backgrounds every day.
To celebrate Black liberation and help change this narrative, I’m participating in the Juneteenth Move Your Way Virtual 5K in support of BABA (Black Applied Behavior Analysts). BABA is an incredible organization whose mission is to cultivate community through the promotion, education, and empowerment using the science of behavior analysis.
Every step I take in this 5K raises funds to uplift our communities and honor the spirit of freedom, resilience, and unity. Your support can make a real difference.
Please consider making a donation today.
Funds raised will support BABA’s annual conference, scholarships, and ongoing efforts to promote, educate, empower, and expand the presence of ABA within the Black community.
BABA’s vision is to create a thriving global community from diverse intersections and to be the premier hub for Black behavior analysts, providing essential resources, support, and advocacy.
Let’s keep moving for equity, for representation, and for liberation.
