Pedal the Cause

If you ask my mom, she will tell you how she had 4 kids in 2 and a half years!  Talk about togetherness!  My twin sister and our 2 younger brothers grew up playing, teasing, helping and enjoying one another and continue today. But now all 4 of us are also together on the cancer journey.  My sister Sherry and I were diagnosed with breast cancer 15 years apart, my brother Andy with CLL in 2021 and my brother Ted with prostate cancer just this year.  With Ted's cancer treatment at Siteman Cancer Center just beginning, I ride especially for him and for everyone who has been affected by cancer, with the hope that research can change what is possible for patients and families facing this disease. We are cancer survivors, traveling the cancer journey together with many others, all doing their best to survive and thrive beyond the diagnosis. I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer because research changes what is possible. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a major source of funds for researchers developing groundbreaking solutions to cancer.  Together we can rid the world of cancer.
