Event Start Time

The Chilly Chili Mile will begin at 9:00 AM sharp!

Fun Run/Walk!

Join us for the Chilly Chili Mile, in which participants can choose to walk or run at top speed or at a comfortable pace. Our one-loop course will start and finish at the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany. This event is organized by Healthy New Albany, the same team that brings you the New Albany Walking Classic ®. This event promises to warm you up. The faster you walk or run, the sooner you can enjoy a bowl of Wendy's chili and cornbread.

This unique one-mile walk/run event for health and/or competition will benefit the many programs and services that Healthy New Albany provides to individuals and families throughout Central Ohio and beyond. Healthy New Albany is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to keeping families and communities healthy and offers one of the most innovative and comprehensive health initiatives in the country.

Virtual Registration

Can't walk or run in person? Register as a virtual participant!  As a virtual participant, you can complete the one mile at a venue of your choice. It can be in a park, on the streets in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, or as a participant in another race. You are required to complete the one-mile distance between 2/25/24 - 3/10/24. You can choose to walk or run your distance in segments. For example, you might complete the distance on two separate days.

Most importantly, get out and move!

There are many benefits to participating in the Chilly Chili Mile as a virtual walker or runner.

  • Your race garment and race bib number will be mailed to your home between February 12, 2024, and February 24, 2024, so you don't need to attend packet pickup.
  • 100% of your race fee will be donated to our 501(c)(3) non-profit, Healthy New Albany, so you will be able to help our cause.
  • As a virtual participant, you will not be partaking in the Chilly Chili Mile on race day in New Albany which means there will be no concerns about parking, crowds, weather, travel, or bathroom stops.

100% of Race Proceeds will support Healthy New Albany initiatives that focus on cancer, heart disease, mental health, food insecurity, and activities such as its outdoor and indoor farmers market and cooking classes.

Support our mission! Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to Healthy New Albany. Help us help others.
