Geisinger Marworth is happy to announce its 4th Annual Clean and Sober Fun Run and Walk. Due to the current situation facing our community and country with COVID-19, our 5K run and 1-mile walk will be virtual this year. This year’s event will take place the entire month of September, to celebrate National Recovery Month. Please practice safe social distancing and enjoy running, walking and the sense of normalcy it may bring you as well as a fun sober activity.
How it works: from September 1st to September 30 go out and run a 5K or walk a mile on your own at a place of your choosing. You can tag the ‘Marworth Treatment Center’ Facebook page to share your pictures and run times with us.
Beneficiary: Race proceeds will benefit the Geisinger Marworth Therapeutic Activities Fund. This fund helps provide therapeutic recreation programs and facilities to help our patients experience healthy leisure and gain sober social skills that will aid them in their ongoing recovery post discharge from treatment.
Registration: Signups online until September 30.
Race Month: September 1st to September 30, 2020
Race fee: $30 all participants will receive a participation medal as well as a t-shirt by mail following the conclusion of the event.
