Description

The Donut Run is an annual 5K running and walking event to benefit the Joan’s Foundation for Head and Neck Cancer Research. It is the original 5K that pays homage to the donut.

The Columbus Donut Run allocates all funds raised by the event to the Joan Bisesi Oncology Fund for Head and Neck Cancer Research at The James-OSUCCC.

We are proud to be one of the three featured races in The James 5k Race Series!

For help with team registration and/or creation, please view the help topic by clicking here. If you forgot to join a team during the registration process but would like to later, you can do that! Just follow the instructions here.

SIGN UP AS A TEAM & RECEIVE:
  • Special Recognition of TEAM participation by the DJ the day of the event
  • Wear & Show off your Team’s T-shirt
  • Special Photo Op day of the event by the “BIG” Donut which will be displayed on our website and Facebook, as well as a Team Photo emailed to Team Captain for Team use

Can children participate?

If they can cover the three-plus miles of the Donut Run course by running, jogging or walking they can absolutely participate in The Columbus Donut Run!

Because of the overall costs involved with our participant swag, the price for registration is the same regardless of age. Also, Joan’s Foundation is a registered 501c3 with proceeds going towards Head & Neck Cancer Research.

Strollers are welcome and there is no need to register a child using a stroller. While strollers are welcome we do ask that they line up in the back for the safety of the runners.

Parking

There are plenty of parking options at COSI and across the river in parking garages. You may also park at Spaghetti Warehouse for free. Finally, remember that open meters are free on Sundays, as well.

Can I run with my pet?

Sorry, for the safety of our runners and furry friends, we do not allow animals on the course.

Is the Donut Run timed?

Yes, The Donut Run 5K is a timed event.  Columbus Running Company uses race|result electronic timing with live results available along with final results for division winners and a complete listing of overall results available upon race completion.

What is "Donuts in Bed"?

This is our fun name for participating virtually. If you can't be at the event but would still like to get a Columbus Donut Run t-shirt, sign up for Donuts in Bed and you can pick up your shirt during early packet pickup at any Columbus Running Company location as noted above. You don't need to run/walk/crawl a 5K, just sign up for Donuts in Bed and you're a part of the Columbus Donut Run from wherever you happen to be on event day! Please note: t-shirts will not be mailed, you must pick up during early packet pickup to receive your shirt.
