2025 Walt Disney World® Marathon Weekend

It's been five years since I ran a half or full marathon.  Covid happened and then I turned 40, and thought I would just take it easy as I got older.  However, this year, something snapped and I realized that it was time to get back on the road and take better care of my body that I thank God for each day.  I am thrilled to be going out for long distance runs and doing speed work again and having a race on the calendar to work towards, but it isn't enough to just focus on my individual health...we have to help others.  That is why I chose to represent Cure Rare Disease, a nonprofit organization focused on advancing treatment for rare neuromuscular diseases through life-saving gene therapies for rare and ultra-rare disease patients overlooked and underserved by traditional drug development efforts.
