Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer again this year. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family, and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

I am riding in Honor and Loving Memory of many family members and friends. So many members of my family, especially all four of my grandparents, have been diagnosed with cancer at some point in their lives. In June of this year, my grandfather was diagnosed with prostate cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. As this alarming disease of cancer continues to hit home and affect so many others, I am extremely motivated to contribute to enhancing research efforts. Through cancer research and working in healthcare, I have seen how treatments have advanced for cancer. My grandmother has undergone therapy for leukemia twice. Between the initial round of treatment, when she was diagnosed, and the reoccurrence 5 years later, the treatment was vastly different, and because of your donations, YOU are making a difference by supporting the cause. 

To make this ride even more special, I will be riding alongside my mother for the first time! She has been Pedaling for The Cause for 10 years now, and I can't wait to take this on together. We will be riding 21 miles on Sunday, September 22nd at 9 am, at the new home of Pedal the Cause at the Family Arena in St. Charles, Missouri. If you are not doing anything, come on out to St. Charles and rally us while we pedal for the cause. We would love to see you at the finish line!
