We’re back with Ann Arbor City Council approval for the 47th edition of the Dexter-Ann Arbor Runs on Sunday, August 15, 2021, and we’re working around-the-clock on obtaining final health department sign-off on our detailed safety plan. You’ll be asked during registration to confirm that you reviewed the plan and are aware of the protocol that may be in place for all participants at this year’s event. You can view it on our website.
Since 1974, the beautiful shaded backwoods of the Huron River region provide the setting for the annual Ann Arbor Track Club’s, Dexter to Ann Arbor Half Marathon. Runners will start the half marathon in the picturesque town of Dexter, Michigan and head east for a scenic, rolling 13.1 mile course along beautiful Huron River Dr. to the finish in historic Downtown Ann Arbor. — a Road Runners Club of America’s top Runner-friendly Community in the United States.
The 10K is this year’s RRCA Michigan State Championship and the 2021 Michigan Runner Race Series, making it a great race for elite athletes, serious runners and casual runners (and walkers) alike. This out-and-back 10K (6.2 mile) course starts and finishes in downtown Ann Arbor, featuring a beautiful stretch along scenic Huron River Drive in both directions.
The Athletico 5K is the RRCA Central Region Championship and great for runners (and walkers) of all ages and abilities. This 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk is a great way for the whole family to take part in the Dexter-Ann Arbor Runs on a point-to-point route that features a unique start line and scenic views of the Huron River and Downtown Ann Arbor.
The earlier you signup to Run the River, the better pricing will be available. Tier/block pricing rewards the earliest registrants with the best rates available, while maintaining our extremely competitive pricing throughout the year. All events have been setup with total registrant caps on each block. Once each block sells out, subsequent tier/block prices activate automatically until the event sells out completely.
We will follow Michigan health orders regarding the ability to offer busing. We'll publish these details once confirmed one way or another.
Early Packet Pickup days, times and locations will be emailed to all registrants prior to race-week, and published in our Facebook event. Times will be emailed again on the first day of early packet pickup.
Expo details are yet to be determined and will be published once our safety plan is finalized.
