I AM TOUGH RUCKING FOR AMERICA'S FALLEN MILITARY & FIRST RESPONDERS
On April 19, 2026, my friend Joy and I will be joining Tough Ruck Nation to complete a marathon with a 15-pound rucksack (backpack). The goal of Tough Ruck 26.2 Boston is to HONOR AMERICA’S FALLEN MILITARY AND FIRST RESPONDERS and to raise money to support our Warriors and their families. We humbly carry the names of the Fallen on our rucks so they will never be forgotten. We will also be raising critical funds for our Warriors; as much as they have sacrificed, they and their families deserve the best care and support available.
When I did my first Tough Ruck in 2019, I wondered if it would be one and done, but each year I have been drawn back to do it again. It is a privilege and a joy to be part of a great team* and to play a small role in supporting those who have sacrificed so much for us. Last year Joy and I did our second ruck together, and this year we are rucking together again. We need your help! We each need to raise a minimum of $950 for the families of the fallen. Neither one of us likes to ask for money, but it's a way we can honor and support our military and first responders. Your tax deductible donation, no matter how small, will help us fulfill the goal. Military Friends Foundation is the official charity of Tough Ruck Nation.
*On April 15, 2013, Tough Ruckers were at the finish line of the Boston Marathon and joined the first responders to help those who were injured by the horrific blasts. Now the Tough Ruck takes place the weekend before Boston Marathon Monday. Tough Ruck is partnered with the Boston Marathon, and finishers are awarded the official Boston Marathon Medal.
