2023 Discover Pink

Discover Pink promotes awareness of the importance of screening in the early detection of breast cancer while raising important dollars for Project Access Network’s breast health program, which connects the underserved in Marion and Polk Counties to needed breast health care. 

Project Access Network (PAN) partners with area healthcare providers to connect to donated care those who have exhausted all of their options.  PAN community health workers then help with overcoming barriers to accessing this care, such as language and transportation, ensuring that an average of 98% of patients attend their appointments.  Between July 1, 2022, and June 30, 2023, Project Access Network helped 158 women in Marion & Polk Counties get their breast cancer screening and diagnostic services.  This is about a 12% increase over the 137 women we navigated the previous year.

"Discover Pink" promueve la conciencia sobre la importancia de la detección temprana del cáncer de mama, al mismo tiempo que recauda fondos importantes para el programa de salud mamaria de Project Access Network, el cual conecta a las personas sin acceso adecuado en los condados de Marion y Polk con la atención médica necesaria para la salud mamaria.

Project Access Network (PAN) colabora con proveedores de atención médica locales para brindar atención donada a aquellos que han agotado todas sus opciones. Los trabajadores comunitarios de salud de PAN ayudan a superar obstáculos para acceder a esta atención, como el idioma y el transporte, garantizando que un promedio del 98% de los pacientes asistan a sus citas. Entre el 1 de julio de 2022 y el 30 de junio de 2023, Project Access Network ayudó a 158 mujeres en los condados de Marion y Polk a realizar sus exámenes y servicios de diagnóstico para el cáncer de mama. Esto representa un aumento del 12% en comparación con las 137 mujeres a las que brindamos apoyo el año anterior.
