On December 7th I will hike Aspen Mountain in honor of organ, eye, and tissue donation. Currently in the United States over 100,000 adults and children are waiting for a lifesaving organ transplant and even more are in need of a tissue transplant. I have been the recipient of tissue donation twice-- in my right and left knee. Because of organ donors, I'm capable of an active, healthy lifestyle and the opportunity to participate in this event. I am excited to support the Chris Klug Foundation and their mission to register individuals as organ donors.
The Summit for Life event is an evening race on Aspen Mountain that climbs 3,268 vertical feet to the summit. My personal record for skinning Aspen Mountain is 1 hour & 20 minutes. My goal is beat my PR by at least 5 minutes and raise $250 for the foundation, please consider donating and supporting my endeavor. For every $1 I raise CKF will reach 2 individuals across the country with their lifesaving mission.
