As a veterinarian, I can tell you that the job is definitely not cuddling puppies and kittens every day. Realistically, I have many more days of tough conversations and situations. I love what I do and the animals I care for but my work truly makes me more emotional and stressed than some people can imagine, and that's without the human interactions or financial stress.
