Description
Sign up today for the 17th annual Dr. Bender 5K Classic! This year's race will again be conducted as a hybrid race. Those who wish to participate in person can do so on the morning of Saturday, July 20th, at Canal Winchester High School. A virtual 5K event will also be available for those who are not able or choose not to participate in the in-person race. As always, proceeds from registration and sponsorships from this year's event will directly benefit the boys and girls cross country teams at Canal Winchester High School.

Early Packet Pickup
In-person participants have the option to pick up their race materials at early packet pickup on Thursday, July 18, from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Canal Winchester High School or on race day at the race site, starting at 7:00 am.
Virtual participants have the option to select early packet pickup (details above) or have their items mailed directly to their front door (details are listed within the registration process). Virtual participants who select to have their items shipped will have materials shipped out on Monday, July 22, 2024.
Race Day Timeline
7:00 am - Packet pickup and registration begins (as spots remain) at the Canal Winchester High School stadium
8:00 am - 1 Mile Fun Run begins
8:30 am - 5K begins
9:45 am - Awards
Swag
All participants in this year's race will receive a 2024 swag bag. shirts and shirt sizes are guaranteed to those who register through June 30. For those who register on July 1 or later, shirts and shirt sizes are first come first served within the registration platform. Any shirts and shirt sizes that are sold out will be listed as such within the registration platform. Please indicate your size in the registration process.
Virtual Participants
Virtual participants have the option to select early packet pickup (details above) or have their items mailed directly to their front door (details are listed within the registration process). Virtual participants have the option to submit results right here on the race website anytime between 7/20 and 7/27. To submit virtual results, simply click the "Results" tab at the top of the page, then click the "Submit Virtual Results" button). Please note that the option to submit virtual results is only available on this site between 7/20 and 7/27. Result submission is completely optional and not required.

Medals will be awarded to the top 20 finishers in the 5K!
