My name is Stephen Otim, and I’ve spent the past two decades working to rebuild hope in Northern Uganda after years of war, displacement, and trauma. Through ERONet, I work closely with resilient girls in Lamwo District—a region still recovering from conflict and hosting thousands of refugees. These girls face immense challenges: no electricity, no internet, no school supplies—and yet, they show up with hope in their eyes.
We are participating in The Human Race to raise funds for something urgent and deeply personal: giving rural girls access to education and STEM opportunities that can transform their future.
With your help, we can:
- Keep vulnerable rural school girls in school with scholarship and sanitary supplies
- Provide laptops, solar power, and hands-on STEM-aligned learning tools
- Turn classrooms with dirt floors, no walls, and no lights into spaces of discovery and growth
I’ve seen how one textbook or one solar lamp can change everything. This fundraiser is more than a race—it's a step toward dignity, opportunity, and equality for girls who deserve every chance to succeed.
Thank you for walking, running, riding—or simply giving—with us.
Together, we can light the path forward.
