Race Description
Welcome back, runners, to the annual Fallen Heroes 5 Miler.
It's 4th of July race you are looking for!
Start your celebration for the 4th with a 5-mile run through the streets of historic downtown Fredericksburg. The starting location will be held at James Monroe High School. The race is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes, a local non-profit organization that provides support to the veterans and first responders in need of assistance in the local community.
This is the 7th race in the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix series in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.
Anyone can participate in this 5-mile run.
The race will begin at James Monroe High School at the track.

Saturday, July 3, 2027 Time: 1-5 p.m.
Thursday, June 24, 2027 Time: 1-6 p.m.

- Packets will also be available the day of the race between 6:00 a.m.- 6:30 a.m. inside James Monroe High School.

PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A CHARGE TO PICK UP YOUR PACKET ON THE DAY OF THE RACE OF $25.00; this excludes new registrations.
In order to receive your free shirt, you must register by June 8th
Extra shirts will be available for purchase with a limited supply on the day of the race. Cost: $20.00

Age Groups - 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over Overall winners will be presented awards in both the men and women division; 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Two prizes will be given for the best Patriotic outfit: Best Male and Best Female. $100.00 to each winner
All fees are nonrefundable.

The bathrooms at James Monroe High School will be open and available during the race. The entrance to the bathrooms is at the front entrance of the school.

2-$100.00 checks will be given away for the best male and best female patriotic outfits during the awards ceremony.
Yes, all runners will receive a medal.
Awards will be given to placement winners, 1st, 2nd and 3rd, along with overall male and female
T-shirts will be given away to participants who register prior to June 9th.
Shirts will be available to purchase online, at packet pickup day and the day of registration after the 9th of June at the cost of $20.00, there will be a limited supply available.
Strollers are allowed but must be at the back of the race.
