Firefighters for MDA 5k

Join us on Saturday, Aug 24th, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. as the Keokuk Firefighters and Muscular Dystrophy Association will be holding their first annual Firefighters for MDA 5K trail Run/Walk at the beautiful Shimek forest in Farmington Iowa. This is an exciting, family fun event open to adults and children of all ages and abilities. The route is a forested trail loop, out and back course through the beautiful Shimmick forest. Help us honor Keokuk Iowa’s bravest and raise money for children and adults living with Muscular Dystrophy, ALS, and other neuromuscular diseases.

Need to be signed up by Aug 9th for guaranteed T-shirt. 

Bananas and water will be provided the day of the run. 

Timed event: Medals will be awarded to top overall male and female.

Directions: heading west on hwy 2 go into Farmington. Take a right on Pearl St. (street before Casey’s). Go straight until you hit gravel. Take your first right (Black Oak Lake). Go to the very end of that road and that will be the start of the run.
