Here we are again. It's not what we want to do, but we will ALWAYS keep fighting the good fight!
Frank was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in January 2021, and after Whipple surgery and 6 months (12 rounds) of Folfirinox chemo... Frank was cancer-free!
Every scan and appointment was clear for the next 3 years, and then they saw a recurrence on his PET scan in September 2024. It was a shock and so unexpected.
But we took action immediately, and Frank is nearly at the end of another 8 months of treatment. Another 12 rounds of Folfirinox chemo, with a month of daily radiation and chemo in February.
He is tired and dealing with many side effects, but we are staying positive and living each day as the GIFT, that it is.
We are winning this fight against Pancreatic cancer again, one step at a time.
I am fundraising for Polly's Run. Please consider making a donation to my fundraising page and help me fight pancreatic cancer!
100% of the proceeds benefit the endowment for Polly's Run at UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Thank you!
