The Shinzen Run started over 33 years ago under the direction of Ken Takeuchi and has supported the Shinzen Garden.
We're excited to announced that the 2020 Shinzen Run is now a "Solo Run". What this means is that you will be able to run the course at Woodward... Your time... Your day...and Your pace! All while keeping socially distanced. #RunSoloFresno
We have extended the dates for the run until June 30th. You may repeat the course as often as you like, new finish times will replace previous finish times.
A "Solo Run" is much more than a Virtual Run. We have predefined courses at Woodward park that you follow using an app with turn by turn directions, music clips, and results posted live when you cross the finish line. Because all runners are using the same course, we can do age group awards.
For runners who are not able to run our "Solo Run" course, you can do the virtual run without timing or awards.
Proceeds will benefit the Shinzen Garden in memory of Ken Takeuchi.
