For the past 10+ years, my company, CCA Global Partners / Carpet One Floor & Home, has had a charitable partnership with the Tunnels to Towers Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports America’s first responders and military heroes, including unhoused veterans through their Smart Home Program, Goldstar Family Home Program, and national fundraising efforts.
Over this time I have personally met many severely wounded veterans as well as Gold Star Families that have changed my life and outlook on various things. I no longer take anything for granted because life can change in an instant. I participate in this annual 5K in NYC to show my support and to ensure that people never forget the sacrifice that all of the people involved made back on 9/11.

Carpet One Floor & Home has been working with their Smart Home Program since 2013 to help build technology-enabled homes that give veterans a space to regain their independence once they return home. Carpet One Floor & Home Members across the United States and Canada participate in the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk in New York City every September. The event symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers paying homage to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11. This year, the CCA Global Partners Retail Group aims to raise $250,000 for Tunnel to Towers via member events and activities.
To date, Carpet One Floor & Home's charitable efforts have helped to build more than 70 mortgage-free smart homes for returning heroes and raised over $1.5 million for the foundation overall.
