When Chloe was just two weeks old, Michelle and I got news no parent is ever prepared to hear, our baby girl needed open heart surgery.
We lived over an hour away from Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. Every second mattered, and being far away during the scariest time of our lives just was not an option.
That’s where the Ronald McDonald House stepped in.
They gave us more than just a place to stay. They gave us peace of mind. A safe place to rest. A place close enough that we could be there for Chloe every moment she needed us. In the middle of fear and uncertainty, they provided comfort, support, and a sense of home when we needed it most.
Because of the Ronald McDonald House, we didn’t have to worry about where we would sleep. We could focus on what mattered most, our daughter.
Today, we run for families who are walking that same road right now.
We run so parents can stay close.
We run so families can breathe a little easier.
We run because we know firsthand how much it matters.
If you’re able, we’d love your support as we raise money for the Red Shoe Run and the incredible families served by Ronald McDonald House
