In March of 2016, Kevin began the daily fight to continue living as he began dialysis. Kevin did not let this part of his battle stop him. He continued to fight, by placing himself on the transplant list, advocating for donors, along with raising awareness of #givekevinlife. Most of all Kevin remained in great spirits and did not allow for anything to come in his way of fighting the fight that God gave to him. In September 2016 after a long hospital stay, Kevin asked me to be his wife. We never gave up hope that we would find a living kidney donor for him. We made plans to marry in June 2017. On October 16, 2016 Kevin lost his fight, but his spirit and love continues to live on with me. I continue to honor Kevin's wishes of helping others and raising awareness. I hope that you will join my team and help to raise awareness of this disease and to help others that may not be able to afford the medical expenses associated with this disease.
Thank you for helping us raise funds for those at risk or affected by kidney disease in Rutherford County! Your support of TKF makes a tremendous difference in the lives of those we serve. #LoveYourKidneys
