In the fall of 2000, my husband, Craig, Of Blessed Memory, was diagnosed with Cancer of Unknown Primary. At the time, our two children were ages 5 and 10. Overwhelmed with sorrow and worry, we found great strength and comfort from Jewish Caring Network, a group of amazing people who gave of their time and resources to reassure us that we were not alone in the journey of facing life threatening illness. We will always remember the beautiful packages for Shabbat and Jewish holidays, the meals, child care, visits, house cleaning and many other needs we could never have anticipated. I feel honored to have this opportunity to carry on in my husband's memory to help others now facing similar challenges. Through our journey, we met many people in the community who reached out after my husband's death in 2002 to help us find the strength to continue as we adjusted to life without Craig. While he is no longer here physically, Craig continues to be an inspiration to all of us as we continue his legacy and bring light and comfort to others.
