Many of you know, we lost my mom to cancer in October of 2023. There aren’t many people who haven’t been impacted by this horrible disease anymore. Before she passed, VNA hospice was there to help. They not only provided my mom with the most comfort they possibly could, and helped her get back to the comfort of her own home, but they were also there for us during this time that we were faced with impossible decisions we never thought we’d have to make and guided us through end of life care we never thought we’d have to give, or at least care we wouldn’t have to give for many many years. I will never forget the nurse that helped me provide care to my mom after she passed.
Not only have they supported the immediate family, they’ve also been there for my small children, and helped them navigate what they couldn’t understand. They continue to be there. They’ve offered wonderful events, that the kids look forward to. That’s what my mom would have wanted, them to smile when thinking of her, not tears and sadness. The care and compassion they’ve provided hasn’t stopped. We still have a wealth of resources available to us thanks to this organization. Even though it’s been a grueling year and a half, we still struggle each day. Some days more than others. But we always have their support, resources, and understanding. They continue to reach out to us on the anniversary of her death, as well as other important times of the year, such as the holiday season. VNA is an amazing organization, and I hope that they can continue to do this for many years to come. Donations to VNA will help them continue to do this. I sincerely appreciate every donation, as the donations from others have significantly helped my family. Please consider donating to the VNA Hospice center, as my family gets ready to do the annual hospice walk this weekend in her memory. If we raise 100$ we will get a memorial sign in her honor, and if we hit our goal of 1,000$ she will have a permanent plaque in the VNA Hospice Center.
Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity. It means so much to us.
Much love,
Rachael
