Description

The 1st Annual Hyde Park Road Race (HPRR) for Youth and Family Wellness is a 5K run focused on encouraging and promoting health, wellness, and fitness amongst youth and families in the Hyde Park community.

Event Information

The Hyde Park Road Race for Youth and Family Wellness will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 9 AM.

Race Day Registration will take place from 8 AM - 8:45 AM.

Early Bib Pickup:

  • At Switch Co-op (21 Fairmount Ave, Hyde Park, MA 02136)
  • Friday, June 7, 2024 from 3 PM - 9 PM
  • Saturday, June 8, 2024: 10 AM - 8 PM

Awards:

  • Prizes will be given to the top 3 fastest males, females, and non-binary people.
  • Age group winners will be recognized (overall winners excluded from contention).
  • Scholarship prizes for the winning senior student from each high school in Hyde Park.

Parking:

  • Hyde Park Municipal Lot across from Hyde Park Library (35 Harvard Ave), Rockland Trust Parking Lot across from Hyde Park Community Center (1179 River St), and on-street parking along River St.

FAQ:

  • Are strollers allowed?
    • Yes, they are! There is no additional charge.
  • Will the above parking options be enough?
    • We recommend commuting via MBTA or ride share. Please note that parking is limited.
  • Will runners/walkers receive gear/swag?
    • All participants receive a t-shirt upon registration.
  • Is there a cost to joining/creating a team?
    • No, there is not! Also, there will be a prize for the biggest team.
  • Are there discount codes/fee waivers available?

Course Map

This out-and-back course starts in Logan Square heading south on Fairmount Ave. Runners will take a left onto Truman Pkwy and continue on the far left lane of this road until the halfway point. From there they will make a U-turn onto the Neponset River Reservation walking path to return along. Detailed course map can be found here.
