When the team at Icon City Entertainment laces up their sneakers for a 5K run, it’s not just about breaking a sweat. It’s about breaking barriers and bringing visibility to an issue close to their hearts. This year, we’re walking (or running!) in honor of The Black and Missing Foundation, an organization dedicated to finding missing persons and supporting their families.
For Aigner Ellis, the founder of Icon City Entertainment, this cause is deeply personal. Back in 2003, Aigner’s mother disappeared in Philadelphia. No answers. No closure. This loss continues to fuel his advocacy for underserved communities and the families who, like him, are left to grieve without answers.
It’s undeniable that when communities come together, change follows. Our team emphasizes more than just awareness—we aim to empower and amplify the voices of the families still searching for their loved ones.
Whether we hit the track in Los Angeles or Palm Springs, this run will be a call to action for justice and healing. It’s more than a 5K. It’s a step forward for visibility, recognition, and resolution for thousands of missing Black individuals across the country.
Every step we take during this event represents someone no longer forgotten. Funds raised through the 5K will help The Black and Missing Foundation with search efforts, community outreach, and resources for families in need.
And the impact doesn’t stop at the finish line. By joining this event, walk participants, donors, and advocates like you will uplift the work of this vital organization while shining a light on stories that deserve attention.
Through events like this, we remind ourselves that grief can ignite meaningful change. This walk is part of our ongoing mission at Icon City to strengthen marginalized communities through collaboration and direct action. For us, it’s always about showing up and showing out for what matters most.
We’re not just walking or running on that day—we’re moving with purpose. And when we cross that finish line, it won’t be just for us. It’ll be for the countless faces and voices that remain unheard but are never forgotten.
