In Loving Memory of Ron Spoth

Ronald Mark Spoth, Sr., age 70, of Festus, Missouri, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, at de Greeff Hospice House in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born on December 2, 1955, in Buffalo, New York, to the late Chester and Helen Spoth (née Denk).

He was preceded in death by parents-in-law: Dean and Theresa Perry; sister-in-law, Betty Rogers; and a nephew, Doug Winkler.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Nancy Lea Spoth (née Perry); his daughter, Amy (Zach) Knackstedt of Festus; his sons, Ronald (Wendi) Spoth, Jr. of Festus and Ryan (Jeanne) Cautrell of Orlando, Florida; his grandchildren, Haeli (Sydney) Johnson, Carson Gross, Kris Kachadorian, Ronald Spoth III, Michelle Spoth, Brady Knackstedt, Kennady Knackstedt, Lorelai Cautrell, Penelope Spoth, and Lucas Cautrell; and his great-grandchildren, Boaz, Shepherd, and Rhys Johnson. his brother, Kevin (Pat) Spoth of Chandler, Arizona; his sister, Laurie (Charles LoTempio) Hannah of Grand Island, New York; sisters-in-law: Kathy (Tony) Bova of Crystal City, MO, Peggy (Bob) Gift of Fredericksburg, VA; brother-in-law, Denny Rogers of Branson, Missouri as well as many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army for 21 years before retiring. Following his military service, he enjoyed a successful career as Vice President and Operations Director of ABBCO Service Corp. in St. Louis.

A man of unwavering faith and service, Ron was a founding member of Good News Community Church. He was also a life member of Elks Lodge #1721, Shekinah Masonic Lodge, Moolah Shriners, American Legion Post 253, and Twin Cities AMVETS Post 171 of Festus. He was known for his generous heart, his dedication to his family, his love for his community, and his lifelong passion for the Buffalo Bills. Ron especially enjoyed spending time with his family, mission trips, traveling, and spending winters at his vacation home in Florida.

Interment with full military honors will be held at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.

A Celebration of Ron's Life will take place on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Good News Community Church. in Festus. Visitation: 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | Celebration Service: 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Pedal the Cause or Good News Community Church.
