Well folks, it's that time of year again. it's time for the RiRa's Santa Virtual 5K Run/Walk. I will again be running the 5K in late December, (probably between the 21st and 23rd), to include going through downtown St. Albans, while some other members of our camping club (The Champlain Valley Road Runners) will be either walking or combining some running and walking to complete this event, in support of Camp Ta-Kum-Ta, a camp for children who either have or have had cancer. Truly a worthwhile event, particularly at this time of year.
As I’ve said many times before, I've been blessed over my adult years with excellent health and over the years have had the joy of being enriched by a wealth of fantastic experiences. Please help me to ensure that Camp Ta-Kum-Ta may continue their work providing the type of activities and experiences for their campers, that no youngster should be denied. Our children grow up too fast, so let’s help them to not miss out on the joys of being a child, before it’s too late. I can only hope that they are able to share in some of the same fantastic experiences that I have had over my life, thus far. Camp Ta-Kum-Ta helps to ensure that our youth have the same opportunities.
