Hello! My name is Jack Flannery. I've been a casual runner for most of my adult life, but this year I decided to challenge myself with something bigger - my first half marathon. To stay motivated and make the effort count for more, I decided to run in support of a worthy cause.
I chose Cure Rare Disease because of their ability to meet an ambitious mission with tangible outcomes. Cure Rare Disease is focused on turning cutting-edge medical science into real treatments for people living with rare genetic disorders. Their work doesn’t just advance research - it changes lives, especially for those who might otherwise be overlooked or underserved by traditional medical funding and research.
If you're curious to learn more about Cure Rare Disease, you can find out more about their approach and project pipeline here. You can also track my training progress on Strava. Or if you're already inspired, you can make a donation directly through this page. Thank you for the support!
