This event holds a deep and personal significance for me, as I have been affected by the heartbreaking loss of two of the most kind, genuine, and wonderful men I have ever known—both cruelly taken from us by a rare, unforgiving disease. Their unwavering strength, incredible courage, and the lasting impact they had on everyone fortunate enough to know them continue to inspire me. I will run in honor of Dave Bandish and Peter Scrivano, not only to celebrate their lives but to raise awareness and rally support for others battling this devastating condition.
