The JSTC is lacing up our sneakers with a purpose – to support funding for Future of Blue's grant program which supports accredited programs for adults with autism that is more than a day care or respite, including organizations like PCDI. I invite you to contribute to my peer-to-peer fundraiser.
Nationally, it is estimated that as many as 70% of adults with autism are unemployed. Public funding falls short of providing the diverse and comprehensive support these adults require. You can help provide life-enhancing services for autistic adults with a financial gift, that in turn supports programs that work directly with our adults. These accredited programs provide the much needed support and education in the areas of self help skills, community activities, independent living skills, vocational/supported employment, and advocacy to name a few.
