Back at it again in July! I will be participating in The Great Bicycle Tour (TGBT) XXXIX. Super excited about it, and I’d love your support and help in raising funds for a great nonprofit organization — San Mar Family & Community Services — for its major annual fundraiser.
As you may or may not know, I was originally coerced into participating in this butt-crushing, leg-numbing, soul-replenishing, 185-mile ride along the C&O Canal in 2023 by the one and only RJ Doyle. He fell in love with this organization and ride his first time doing it and passed that love on to me as well. The cause, the people, the friends you make, the camaraderie of working towards a united goal, the challenge and fun of the ride itself — so many reasons for being passionate about this ride. But most importantly, we are helping to support and grow children and families who are facing some tough situations.
I will forever dedicate this ride to RJ, and will always be grateful to him for introducing me to cycling and this community. It allows me to feel extra close to him. Last year I was able to support SanMar with $1,200 in donations through your sponsorships. I would love to be able to meet or beat that this year.
