I’ve been a volunteer since 2008 and have experienced and learned first hand the value of Hospice House of Williamsburg to the members of our community. This is what my mother and I both needed in her last weeks before passing in a hospital but neither our doctor in Yorktown nor either of us knew about the new Hospice House in 2003.
This is why I raise money for Hospice House, so that everyone in our community will know of Hospice House of Williamsburg in time to utilize all the care, comfort and compassion for their loved one and for themselves through end of life and beyond. Bereavement services are open to all in the community as well. All of the services received are free of charge thanks to the generosity of the great Williamsburg area and fundraisers such as the Hike for Hospice House.
Since 2013, Hospice House of Williamsburg has raised over $600,000 through its annual Hike for Hospice House and fundraisers like this one. Funding raised through events like Hike for Hospice ensures that all service to guests and their loved ones can remain cost-free and that Hospice House can remain a vital and accessible resource to serve the Williamsburg community and beyond.
Individual fundraisers allow supporters of Hospice House of Williamsburg to share the mission they care so much about with friends and families in memory of their loved one(s).
