I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in July of 2024. I had some lymph nodes that looked suspicious, so they were biopsied as well. The results from the lymph nodes came back as needing further testing, so I figured it was nothing. When I started my treatment at MD Anderson in Houston, they ran further testing on my mysterious lymph nodes, and it came back as EHE. The lymph nodes had been visible for more than 6 years, and I had no idea. My PCP had looked at the lump and told me it looked like it was a staph infection that had hardened, and to get it warm and use a needle to try to squeeze it out. It hurt so bad, that I never went back about it, for fear that he was going to squeeze it out himself. So I left it alone. I had my lumpectomy in October of 2024, and with that, they removed 3 EHE lymph nodes from my left armpit area. I am still recovering from radiation currently.
