I'm Running Juneteenth — And I Need Your Help to Keep It Free
Y'all. I, Jack Lofgren — a man who has willingly run ultramarathons and half marathons (yes, plural, yes on purpose) — am lining up for RunJuneteenth, and I could not be more pumped.
This will be my first time participating in this race, and honestly? It feels like the right one to add to the roster.
Here's what makes RunJuneteenth special: it's completely free to enter. Free and open to everyone — because freedom is literally the whole point. But keeping it that way takes real resources. Permits, safety, logistics, equipment — and a board of organizers who pour hundreds of volunteer hours into making this event exceptional for every runner, volunteer, and community member who shows up.
I've crossed more than five finish lines. I know what it takes to put on a race that actually feels like something. This organization does it, for free, on purpose, with heart.
So I'm asking you to help me reach my personal goal of $619 — a number that's historically on the nose, if you think about it. 🙂
No donation is too small. Every dollar goes directly toward sustaining this community-centered race and keeping it accessible for everyone who wants to run.
Help me bring something to this finish line other than just my tired legs.
Thank you for supporting RunJuneteenth — and for keeping freedom moving. 🏃🏾✊🏿
