Call to action for Malawi's youth!

I hope you will give me a few minutes of your time so I can tell you about a cause that is very important to me. I am headed to Malawi to sponsor classrooms for the new Lonjezo University project through Urban Promise International and we need your help to make it happen.

In 2023, through the wonderful support of many donors, the team coordinated the construction of a library in Malawi where hundreds of children will benefit from this educational resource. Now, we need to give the opportunity to these children to further their education and help them with the journey to make life in Malawi a better place for the community.

Our mission is to raise $195,000 by March of 2025. Then in June of 2023, we will travel to Africa to participate in the construction phase of these classroom through painting, landscaping, and any final details to prepare the classrooms for these students.

It is because of Holman’s great commitment to community service and my strong bond with Urban Promise International that I’m about to undertake this adventure and travel across the globe!

Can you please help? Your generous donation will help change the lives of these children. And your name will appear in a Gratitude Book prominently placed in the library of the University.

Urban Promise International (UPI) and its affiliated ministries are on a mission to create an environment where under-resourced children and young people are presented with educational, economic, and leadership development opportunities. The goal is to enable children in rural communities to escape great limitations that can have a long-lasting impact on their lives, families, and communities!

FACTS:

  • Over the next 10 years, Urban Promise International will graduate 8,000 eager, accomplished, educated students from our Malawi high schools. That's a lot of young people that are looking for an opportunity to learn, to grow, and to flourish.
  • 300 of these students will secure a rare seat at a government university. But what happens to the other 7,700?
  • That is the question and UPI has an answer.

Help us support Urban Promise International by making a donation towards the adoption of classrooms for the Lonjezo University.

For more information about UPI, please check out their website: https://urbanpromiseinternational.org/.

Thank you very much for your thoughtful consideration of my request. I’d be happy to share more details with you if you want to learn more about this cause. Just let me know what a convenient time is for us to connect.
