Pedal the Cause

This year, I’m riding a 100 km (Metric Century) in support of Pedal the Cause and the fight against cancer. The mission is deeply personal to me because my father-in-law was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer in 1993. At that time, fewer than 5% of patients diagnosed with this disease were expected to survive five years. Through tremendous courage, determination, and perseverance, he defied those odds and today is a remarkable 33-year survivor. His journey is a powerful reminder of why cancer research matters. Stories like his inspire me to support the research, treatments, and breakthroughs that give patients and families hope for a better future.
