Pedal the Cause

I am proud to join Pedal the Cause in the fight against cancer. Pedal the Cause is more than the region's largest cancer fundraiser. It's a way of life, a celebration, a family and a movement fueled by the courage to end cancer.

In August of 2013, I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer (cancer of the lining of the uterus).  At this time in my life, I didn't have any children but knew I wanted to become a mother one day. Because of on-going research and development at Siteman and Washington University, I was able to receive treatment that wouldn't negatively effect my ability to have children.  Today, I am the mother of two amazing daughters and am incredibly grateful for the innovative treatment I received.   I honestly don't know if I would have a family without the medical care I received. To me, this is why continued research projects and the funding of them, are so important.
