Families Run for Ovarian Cancer ROC Star 5k & 1-Mile Run/Walk

PLEASE support ovarian cancer research and awareness in our community!

Recently my wonderful 30-year-old daughter was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.  She had her surgery and is now in the middle of her Chemo. It is a true gift from God that at 30 she was diagnosed with Stage 1.  Most women are not that fortunate.  1 in 78 women will be affected by Ovarian Cancer and it is often well after it has spread throughout the body. THERE IS NO TEST (it's not part of a Pap)!!  Catching it early is only due to a woman knowing her body, being aware of the signs, and advocating strongly for herself with her doctors.  My daughter's first Doctor just blew off her symptoms and only after seeing a second Doctor was, she able to get the testing needed to find this horrible cancer!

AWARENESS AND EDUCATION are the most important tools we currently have today.   By helping to fund research, there is a hope that an early detection test is in the future!

Let's raise a couple of dollars that will help the women in our lives not have to deal with this in the future!
