Dear Friends, Fellow Animal Lovers, and People Whoâve Also Made Questionable Life Choices,
Hi. Iâm Dr. Annie Thiessen, a veterinarian at Chambers Creek, medical director of Kindred Souls Foundation, and now, apparently, a person who climbs stadium stairs for charity.
On August 3, Iâll be climbing the infamous stairs at Stadium High School. Not once. Not twice. But eleven times. Â And not because Iâve lost a bet, but because I care deeply about Kindred Souls Foundation, where I proudly serve as Medical Director.
I believe in Kindred Souls Foundation, a rescue where animals who may have otherwise been given up on (the medically fragile and the misunderstood) are met with compassion, commitment, and the full power of a team that never stops showing up. This fundraiser is my love letter to the animals we serve and to the incredible humans who support them.Â
And if that does not move you, perhaps youâll listen to my team of feline advisors:
"Sheâs doing 11 laps. I once spent 11 hours in a ventilation system evading federal agents and a Roomba. We all suffer for the cause.â-Sammy Mischievy, Alleged Lieutenant, Los Gatos Cartel
âI love my mama. I love Jesus. I love snacks. Not necessarily in that order. I support this fundraiser because it aligns with my core values: justice, vigilance, and high-caloric intake. - Lyle, Snack-Based Believer, Protector of Order, Keeper of the Mythical Food Bunker
âOf course, I support the animals. I am the animals. If this fundraiser doesn't end in a Hermès collar and a chilled shrimp tower, what exactly are we doing here?â-Carlos, Brand Ambassador for Himself, Probably Shopping
Whether youâve trusted me with your own animals, admired rescue work from afar, or just really enjoy watching someone slowly unravel on a staircase, I hope youâll support this cause.
Every dollar raised goes directly to Kindred Souls Foundation, and every step I take is for the animals who canât take them for themselves. Â Please donate to Lap Dance for Kindred Souls. Your support helps animals get the care they deserve.
With sincere gratitude and aching quads, Dr. Annie ThiessenVeterinarian ⢠Medical Director ⢠Needer of an ambulance in the late morning of August 3
But wait, there's more! Â
Kindred Souls Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run organization, so 100% of your donation goes directly to save animals.
Kindred Souls Foundation's mission: To provide sanctuary to abandoned, abused, and neglected cats and dogs, a holistic approach to their care, and education on the rewards and responsibilities of animal companionship.
Unleashed at Stadium Bowl: Race participants run up and down 1,628 steps (or 3,256 steps) of the iconic stadium high school bowl to benefit KSF animals. 100% of the money raised from race entries, sponsorships, and donations will go directly into our Foundation medical fund.
This year marks the 3rd Heroes Race where first respondersâ race up and down 1,628 steps in weighted vests to raise money for the Foundation animals! Itâs beyond inspiring!
Currently, 95% of the Foundation animals are with KSF until they no longer have quality of life. They are hospice, medically fragile, senior, and special needs cats and dogs. 85% of KSF funding is spent on medical services, medications and medical supplies. As a 100% volunteer-run non-profit, the remaining funds are spent on pet food and supplies (potty pads, pet steps/ramps, cat litter, harnesses/leashes, etc.)
Kindred Souls Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to animal welfare advocacy. FEIN: 38-3707806 WA Registered Charity #22783
