Edmund Fitzgerald Memorial Swim

Hi! I'm Robin from Duluth, Minnesota! I am part of the team swimming to memorialize the legacy of the 29 men lost on the Edmund Fitzgerald 50 years ago.  By helping me meet my fundraising goal, you are also helping preserve the Whitefish Point Lighthouse that safeguards mariners along Lake Superior's "Shipwreck Coast." The Whitefish Point Lighthouse needs significant and expensive repairs, and Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society will undertake them with our help. This lighthouse is a signficant navigational aid in a treacherous section of passage for ships on the lakes. The night of the sinking, the light suddenly went out, shortly before the Edmund Fitzgerald approached. Let's make sure this beacon always lights the way! Thank you!
