Help me in supporting Limbs for Humanity for Cocodona 2026!
What is Cocodona? Cocodona is a 250 mile trail race spanning from Black Canyon City to Flagstaff Arizona. Runners from all over come together to participate in this week-long racing event. As part of the Cocodona race week, several other events take place including Sedona Canyons 125, the race I will be taking on, one step at a time.
Sedona Canyons 125 is a 125 mile race from Jerome to Flagstaff covering the second half of the Cocodona 250 race course. It is beautiful, rugged, and often remote. Racers have 3 full days to complete this race running through any and all weather conditions and over night. It's a true test of grit and mental fortitude. But I don't want to run this race just to test my limits. I want to run for a cause greater than myself.
I am a Physical Therapist in an outpatient rehabilitation clinic where I’ve had the privilege of helping people relearn how to walk with a prosthetic device — and for some, even work toward running using incredible technology like running blades. As an avid runner, I gravitate towards these patients, but my goal is always the same: to help them regain confidence, independence, and the ability to pursue whatever goals matter most to them — athletic or otherwise.
For Cocodona 2026, I’ve committed to raising funds for Limbs for Humanity, a cause that aligns perfectly with both my profession and my heart. At Limbs for Humanity, they work diligently to bring prosthetics to underserved communities making prosthetics accessible and creating opportunities for people to walk again!
I believe that people with limb loss deserve the opportunity to walk again with a properly fitted prosthetic device. A donation of any size will help get me across the finish line and get a prosthetic to a person in need, can I count on your support?
